Environmental Degradation

Deforestation is a human-responsible act of clearing the forestry resulting in the degradation of natural habitats of wildlife. According to the data gathered by Earth.org, since 1990, 420 million hectares have been lost due to the urgent concern with regards to deforestation as a result of human activity including land clearing, illegal farming and logging.

Air pollution refers to the contamination of the atmosphere by any chemical, physical or biological matter that modifies the quality of air we intake. At least 1 in 10 people die from air-pollution related illnesses.

Soil Erosion describes the process of the deposition of soil space and dust to be displaced in other areas causing soil deterioration. It is a natural process since such agents of it are water, wind, temperature, etc. but it can still hold negative impacts on the environment.

This natural disturbance refers to the long-term change of climate patterns in a specific local, area, region or country. This is the most consequential natural disturbance since it drives almost a wide-scale of environmental conditions. Primarily, it can be natural but it’s extremely likely > 95% that human activities have been the dominant cause of global warming.
